I just wanted to give a quick review of an amazing Christmas website that’s been around for a couple of years now: Portable North Pole.
Here’s the basic overview: you submit a bunch of information of the child that you want to get a message from Santa. You can upload pictures…you can get fairly specific with some details…and when it’s all said and done, Santa will deliver a personalized message to your child.
I was a bit skeptical of this website at first, but then I tried it for Ankle Biter. WOW!! I mean, the beauty is that Santa’s beard is so big that you don’t see his lips move so he’ll say whatever and it just looks like it’s him talking.
Ankle Biter LOVED his message. He saw his picture in Santa’s book of “Naughty or Nice”…he saw that Santa somehow had a picture of his birthday (you can add “special days” from the year to add a semblance of realism)…he saw that Santa knew that he was doing a great job of saying “please and thank-you” (you can add different things that the child may have been working on all year)…he saw that Santa knew how to find him in New Brunswick, Canada…he even saw that Santa knew what toy was #1 on his wish list (you can add a picture of whatever it is the child wants most on Christmas morning)…it was just a smile on his face from beginning to end.
Trust me…I’m not getting paid or sponsored in any way to endorse this website. I was asked to give it a try and was absolutely impressed with what I saw.
And if a child is just on the borderline between “do I believe or not”, this website might just be the thing that does the trick for you.
Here’s a quick promo video of the website:
So as we’re now less than three weeks away from Christmas, letters to Santa may not be returned in time. If you have a couple of minutes to spend on this site, they’ll email you a weblink to show your child later…so no worries about the “immediacy” of the situation.
Wow…less than three weeks away. How crazy is that?? Guess I better get started on my shopping….
