The Real World: Venus vs. Mars – Children & Movies

Have you ever had your child ask you to watch a movie but you weren’t comfortable with them seeing it?

Do you let your children watch whatever they want?

How much of an “iron fist” do you use when it comes to children watching movies?

Sunshine and I have contributed to today’s guest blog post over at The Real World: Venus vs. Mars to discuss our feelings on those very subjects.

Your thoughts and feedback are very much welcome, too.

Fun Music Friday!

I’m still on vacation and don’t have a ton of time to write blog posts, but I did have just enough time this morning to post some of the songs that the kids have all been singing and dancing to this past week.

So as myself, Sunshine, Ankle Biter, Kiddo, and Lil’ Mo all prepare for a long weekend together (TOGETHER!!), just sit back and enjoy some of the songs that we’ve been enjoying.

Have a great weekend, everybody!!

The Sad Goodbye

No matter how many times we do this, saying “goodbye” to my daughter never gets any easier.

Sure…this trip had some trials and tribulations. Sure…she’s an 11-year-old trying to be an 18-year-old.  Sure…she’s got pre-teen angst and all that stuff.

But at the end of the day, I love my daughter dearly.  She means the world to me and having her here…if only for two weeks…made me feel a bit more fulfilled as a parent.

I know I’m a good dad.  I’ve worked very hard to become that  over the past four years since Ankle Biter has been born.  I know she knows that I’m a good dad.  So at the end of the day, that’s all that really matters to me.

She’ll always be daddy’s little girl.

But I can’t lie…she’s certainly a handful.
